Off the northern tip of Lamèque, Miscou Island is tailor made for relaxation, kicking back while sea gulls swoop and cry, migratory birds fly overhead and ships pass by. Sending out a beacon of light since 1856, the Miscou Island Lighthouse, on Route 113, is said to be the oldest in New Brunswick. It is open for self-guiding tours from mid-June to late September. Also off Route 113 is an interpretive boardwalk that loops through a peat bog, allowing a close-up look at native plants. Learn More...
